Employee Highlight

Bethany Whitney has not (yet) been here for 20+ years, but we wanted to highlight Bethany for her outstanding and dedicated performance and service to Manco Abbott. Bethany started as a temporary employee and was quickly hired in October of 2024 as our HR/Payroll Specialist.  Thrown into the deep end of the pool, she did what we call OJT – or on-the-job training for those not in HR.

She had to learn our HR/Payroll software, while also helping to plan Manco Abbott’s year-end celebration, organize benefits open enrollment, run year-end payroll processing, and conduct new employee orientations, just to name a few of her many duties. If that wasn’t already enough, she was kind and gracious enough to help newcomers learn the ways of the company as well. Many thanks to Bethany Whitney, who has shown herself to be an exemplary employee and an awesome teammate every day she clocks in!

Kris Stuebner, Manco Abbott’s HR Director had this to say about Bethany -When I came onboard she was not only trying to do payroll processing and her other duties but was kind and gracious enough to help me learn Manco.  

Since I started in February, she supported me in transitioning to HR Director, Guilly coming onboard as HR Manager and Felicia rounding off the HR department as our Benefits/Payroll Specialist.  She has been a true resource to each of us, and her dedication knows no boundaries as she gave up her vacation to be here and supported us in our payroll processing as Felicia was learning payroll. Thank you, Bethany!
